ProTect M180 - M196 Web severing and clamping systems
These safety systems are installed upstream of the printing units and upstream and/or downstream of the last heatset dryer. When the web break sensors in the press line detect a web break, the ProTect models M180 - M196 sever the web and clamp the head of the incoming part of the web. Thus the wrapper that might occur in the printing unit is reduced to a minimum. The effort and time required for re-webbing is considerably reduced after elimination of the fault.
