Integrated folding aid, to be switched in parallel to gluing
With the MicroSet 497 the fold softening functions can be selected. Thus the fold softening solution and the glue can be applied simultaneously. So when, for example, two application heads apply the fold softening solution at determined points, glue can be applied at the same time at a different position. Due to the use of dispersion glue the fold softening effect also takes place when gluing is in progress. The fold softening solution is prepared by the MicroSet systems during operation by adding a fold softening concentrate to fresh water.
